Affordable Housing for Farm Interns and Farmworkers
Through the reHOME Project at Morales Farm, Friends of the Farms offers affordable housing in three tiny homes, built from recycled materials. Developed with Coates Design, Clark Construction, and Housing Resources Bainbridge, these homes provide an accessible living option for farm interns and farm workers. FotF serves as landlord and manager, fostering community through hosted dinners and a farm-to-table event.
The homes are fully furnished with furniture, lamps, dishes, beds, dressers, couches, tables and a small kitchenette. In addition to the tiny homes, the original Morales family farmhouse is a communal space shared by all, and is fully stocked with items from community donations. The house has a full kitchen, living and dining room and several additional spaces, once bedrooms, now open for use as offices or hanging out. With donations from our generous Buy Nothing Bainbridge and Free on the Rock community, these spaces are all cleaned and organized, stocked and readied for new arrivals.
