  • Day 3 – The Bitter Beet

    • Ingredients:

      • 1.5 oz Fernet Lario

      • 1 oz Beet juice

      • 3/4 oz Lemon juice

      • 1/2 oz Honey ginger syrup (see instructions below)

      • Garnish: Fresh sage leaf

    • Instructions:

      • Mix all ingredients into a cocktail shaker, add ice, and shake vigorously for 10 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe glass (without ice) and garnish with fresh sage

    • Making the honey ginger syrup:

      • Bring 1 cup of honey and 1 cup water to a boil. Add 1/3 cup of peeled and sliced ginger (1/4” thick), reduce heat and let simmer for 25 minutes. Strain out solids and let chill before using.
